Every studio starts somewhere small. For Resin Gallery by Suu, it started with a single flower that didn't want to be thrown away.
Where it began
Like most resin artists, Suu didn't set out to build a studio. It began the way these things usually do — with one flower too meaningful to let fade, and a small experiment to see if it could be kept a little longer. That first attempt was rough around the edges. But something about it — the way the resin caught the light, the way a fragile thing suddenly felt permanent — was worth chasing.

Learning by doing
There was no formula to follow, so the early pieces were made through trial, error, and a lot of patience. Bubbles that shouldn't have been there. Flowers that browned when they weren't dried properly. Every mistake taught something the next piece got right. Slowly, what started as a personal project turned into something other people wanted too.
From one piece to a studio
Word travelled the way it usually does in Sri Lanka — through friends, family, and people who saw a piece and asked, "can you make me one?" Each request pushed the craft further: first flowers, then jewellery, then keepsakes, keytags and wall art. What stayed the same through all of it was the belief that every piece should be handmade, one at a time, for someone specific.
What Resin Gallery by Suu stands for today
The studio has grown, but the values haven't changed. Every piece is still made by hand. Every order still starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. And every flower, photo or keepsake that comes through the studio is treated the way that very first one was — like it matters.
